Acura's entry-level vehicle is now the compact, front-wheel-drive TSX sport sedan. It's equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine generating 205 horsepower, and is available with either a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission or five-speed Sequential SportShift automatic transmission.
Anti-lock disc brakes, curtain side airbags, 17-inch wheels, and stability control are included-as is a full complement of comfort and convenience features, including a power moonroof, xenon headlamps, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and leather upholstery.
The car's interior was updated in 2006 with a revised steering wheel, gauges, and multi-info display, an upgraded optional navigation system, HandsFreeLink wireless telephone interface and digital media auxiliary jack located in the center console for iPod and other MP3 players.
A sporty A-SPEC package includes high-performance shocks and springs, lightweight 17-inch alloy wheels with upgraded tires, and an aero kit.
The only major option on the TSX is the voice-activated navigation system.
