Consumers are starting to downsize into smaller vehicles, according to recent customer data analyzed by LeaseTrader.com.
LeaseTrader, which works with customers who want to transfer their car leases, reports a growing percentage of its customers are exiting leases on larger cars so they get into smaller ones.
The company reports roughly 15 percent of its customers are transferring out of their leases with that intention.
"That's a significantly large percentage for this business," says LeaseTrader.com founder and CEO Sergio Stiberman in a release. "You're talking about a noticeable shift in customer preference which we expect to resonate with the major car companies."
